Committed to Sustainability
Environment and Sustainability at Fatima Fertilizer Sadiqabad
At Fatima Fertilizer Sadiqabad, sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our operations. From energy and water efficiency to emissions control and biodiversity preservation, our initiatives are designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring operational excellence.
We have invested in advanced effluent and emissions control systems, including scrubbers and a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) at the Nitric Acid Plant. Waste gases are recovered for steam generation and treated water is recycled, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving natural resources and minimizing our environmental footprint.
Beyond these systems, we actively pursue afforestation programs, biodiversity initiatives, recycling and circular economy practices. We maintain close engagement with regulators, communities and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collective progress.

Sustainability Initiatives

Solar Energy Powering a Cleaner Tomorrow at FFT
Fatima Group’s first-ever plant site solar project, a 1.25 MW installation at FFT, was conceived under Fatima Energy Solutions (FES). Generating approximately 4.5 MWh daily, the project saves 4.9 tons of CO₂ and the equivalent of 267 trees every single day, while delivering estimated yearly savings of PKR 30 million.

FFL Recycles Discarded Pet Bottles into Eco-Friendly Road
In a step toward promoting sustainable practices, FFL Sadiqabad Site has constructed an internal “Green Initiative Road” using approximately 1.6 tons of discarded PET bottles sourced from non-manufacturing domestic waste.
This innovative approach demonstrates a practical and sustainable solution for reusing non-biodegradable PET waste, which remains a persistent environmental challenge. Beyond recycling, FFL is also committed to reducing plastic waste at the source, reinforcing our dedication to environmental responsibility.
Turning Waste into Worth, Paving a Sustainable Future

Tree Plantation Greening our Surroundings
Both FFT and FFL actively conduct tree plantation drives across plant premises and surrounding communities. FFT has received Tree Plantation Awards from NFEH in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. FFL’s ongoing afforestation programs reflect our commitment to mitigating carbon footprint and fostering ecological balance.

Biodiversity and Bird Aviary Fostering Biodiversity at FFL Sadiqabad
FFL maintains a vibrant bird aviary within the plant premises, providing safe habitats for a variety of bird species. Supporting biodiversity is integral to our sustainable operations, enhancing ecological balance and promoting a healthy environment for all living things.

Flora and Fauna Study at Fatimafert Sheikhupura
At Fatimafert site, a comprehensive flora and fauna study has been conducted as part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable operations. The assessment focused on identifying and documenting the diversity of plant and animal species within and around the facility, as well as evaluating potential impacts of our operations on the local ecosystem.
The study results offered a clear understanding of the local ecological conditions and helped guide specific actions to protect biodiversity, increase green cover, and support a balanced ecosystem.
It shows our dedication to continuously monitor our environmental performance and implementing best practices to minimize ecological footprint.
